Because the MetaFrame for UNIX X-server provides only a 15-bit color mode, some UNIX applications that need 16-bit color do not work in this mode.
To solve this problem, use either 8-bit color mode or 24-bit color mode. If the application works on the console in 15-bit true color visual, it may be because the console X-server used a pseudo color 8-bit palette to display the application. The MetaFrame for UNIX X-server has only one available color mode for each session, whereas other vendors' X-servers may have multiple modes per session.
Note: This Document applies to all operating systems used with Metaframe for Unix versions 1.1 and 1.2
